I-League: Churchill Brothers face Salgaocar FC Challenge

Churchill Brothers will be looking to collect full points on Wednesday when they take on Salgaocar in the 22nd round of the I-League to be played at Duler ground.

Mapusa (Goa): Churchill Brothers will be looking to collect full points tomorrow when they take on Salgaocar in the 22nd round of the I-League to be played at Duler ground, here.
Churchill have a good chance of taking a comfortable five-point lead over East Bengal, who were held to a draw by Air-India. Churchill, who have played one match less than East Bengal, are now two points ahead of the Kolkata side. They cannot afford to lose points at this stage as it would spoil their chances to win the title for the second time. Sunil Chhetri has not been impressive so far and coach Mariano Dias would be looking to motivate him to find form tomorrow and score along with side Henry. If the two players can play to their potential, it will certainly help the team to stay at top. "Every match is important for us and we need to win. As Salgaocar will be strengthened with the return of their three suspended players, we need to remain focused and play to our potential if we are to win," said Dias. Salgaocar, who have moved out of the relegation after their narrow 1-0 win against Mumbai FC, have 23 points from 21 matches. They will be a better side with the return of their suspended players -- keeper Karanjit Singh, striker Josimar Da Silva and Randeep Kumar. Technical Director, Peter Valles said the win against Mumbai FC has raised team`s morale and the return of the players will also help the team to play to its potential and win on Wednesday. PTI
