Jaisha wins bronze in 5000m

Doha, Dec 11: India`s O P V Jaisha won the bronze medal in the women`s 5,000 metre race at the Asian games

today. The 23-year-old Kerala-born distance runner completed the gruelling race in 15 minutes and 41.91 seconds to take the third place behind China`s gold medallist Xue Fei (15:40.12) and silver medallist Kayo Sugihara of Japan (15:40.87).

Another Indian athlete, Preeja Sreedharan, came in fifth in 15:51.89.
