Jagga Jasoos - a children’s film starring Ranbir Kapoor - Katrina Kaif gets ‘U/A’ certificate!

Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos directed by Anurag Basu comes across as an ideal film for the family audiences. The fantasy fiction, ‘ideal’ for children’s viewing, has been certified ‘U/A’ by the Central Board of Film Certification, a report suggests.

According to a report in DNA, the filmmakers who were expecting ‘U’ (Universal) are not very pleased because the film has children as the target audience.

“The film was submitted for certification on Thursday, and was cleared on Friday afternoon,” DNA quoted a source as saying.

“We wonder what the censor board saw in Jagga Jasoos that made it suitable for children only accompanied by an adult, a source close to director Basu said.

However, CBFC Pahlaj Nihalani believes that the film has been certified appropriately. He said, “Let the film release. The world will see why we think it is necessary for children to be accompanied by an adult.”

‘Jagga Jasoos’, which comes across as a never-seen-before film in Bollywood is finally releasing this Friday after much delay and postponement.
