Padmavati: Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor gear up for a ‘war of words’!

Mumbai: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much awaited film - Padmavati – starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh – has been in news since its inception. The magnum opus inspired by Rani of Chittor – Padmavati’s bravery – has also run into trouble owing to its content based on history. But things seem to have settled for good for SLB.

According to report in Miss Kyra, the two male actors – Shahid (who plays Rawal Ratan Singh) and Ranveer (Alauddin Khilji) will have a war of words in the film. And the scene in question will be shot soon after Ranveer returns from a vacation in London. It will be of great significance because it will establish The Rajput king and Khilji’s first meeting.

Slated to release on November 17 this year, ‘Padmavati’ will be Deepika’s first with Shahid and the latter's first with SLB. Deepika and Ranveer have been paired opposite each other by Bhansali in the past too. As Ram -Leela and Bajirao –Mastani, Ranveer –Deepika have already impressed us by their scintillating chemistry.

‘Padmavati’ is a film moviegoers will look forward to not only because of Ranveer and Deepika but to see the actress’ chemistry with Shahid on screen for the first time.
