New Delhi: Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim starrer 'Secret Superstar' is having a glorious run at the Chinese Box Office and is refusing to slow down even after 28 days of its release. The film is raking in the moolah in the neighbouring country.

The film, which is a blockbuster, has generated $117.61 million at the Chinese Box Office, that is, Rs 750.69 crore in INR. This is Aamir's second film after 2016 released 'Dangal' to become a blockbuster in China.

Tweeting about its figures, trade analyst and movie critic Taran Adarsh today wrote, "#SecretSuperstar is truly a BLOCKBUSTER of EPIC PROPORTIONS in China... Crosses ₹ 750 cr mark in 4 weeks... Still going STRONG... Total till 15 Feb 2018: $ 117.61 mn [₹ 750.69 cr]."

Meanwhile, the collection figures of the film are expected to soar high in the upcoming weekend.

The movie tells the story of a young girl named Insia who wishes to be a singer. However, her father does not allow her to do so and Insia decides to share her singing with the world through YouTube. The 14-year-old sets up her own YouTube channel and starts posting videos of her singing. She hides her identity wearing a burkha and rises to fame eventually.

The movie also beautifully captures the bond between a mother and daughter. Insia doesn't have a supportive father, but her mother is the one who supports her dream and at times, Meher's (who plays Insia's mother) act will bring tears to your eyes.

Meanwhile, Aamir's next film 'Thugs of Hindostan' is expected to hit the screens during Diwali this year. The film is a fictional story set between 1790 and 1805, about a gang of robbers that poses a serious challenge to the British Empire in India.

Considering the huge response to 'Dangal' and 'Secret Superstar' from the Chinese audience, it would be interesting to see how 'Thugs of Hindostan' performs in the Chinese market.
