New Delhi: In an actor’s career, there are moments that happen that help them take a significant turn. For Yami Gautam, that transformative moment came with the release of Uri: The Surgical Strike. Yami's performance was raw, authentic, and emotionally charged. She breathed life into the character, capturing the essence of it. Recently, the actress talked about the same in an interview, she said, “I think in 2019, it started with URI, when I read that script, I knew of course, you read the script, you understand that my role in it was on the ground, I was not a part of the operation. So I had to do this film because this role was very good, it was in line with what I was looking for and I had to work with these directors. And it was absolutely professional.

I have actually worked with 2 new directors all my life and I enjoy it a lot because there is a new energy, there is some mystery and by talking for the first time, you usually find out what kind of director are you, with what intensity you are making a film and I was very sure that I have to be a part of this script. Of the best scripts that I have read in my life the clarity of which is in Aditya about this film. This film will be made that way.”
