Mumbai: Fans of Latin pop singer Enrique Iglesias have reason to go ecstatic with joy, for the sensational international icon is flying down to India next month for a three city tour — Pune (October 17), New Delhi (October 19) and Bangalore (October 21).
“It’s been a long time since my last tour in India and I have been dying to come back and perform in front of one of the best and craziest crowds in the world,” remarked Enrique on his upcoming tour in the country. “I’m excited about this visit and promise to give a great show and do my best so everyone has a great time… it’s going to be awesome!” he further added. The Grammy award winning singer has churned out several hits and chart busters in the past such as ‘Hero’, ‘Bailamos’, ‘Escape’, ‘Rhythm Divine’, ‘Love to See You Cry’, ‘I Like It’ and ‘Tonight (I’m Loving You)’ amongst others. Also, he has sold over 100 million records worldwide, has 11 multi-platinum albums, and 68 number-one rankings on the different Billboard charts to his credit. Vijay Nair, CEO of Only Much Louder, who’s organising the show, said “After having worked with Lady GaGa and David Guetta last year, we are looking forward to bringing Enrique back for his second tour in India which will be a full scale live production. We have been building concerts for varied audiences and I’m sure pop music fans in India would be thrilled to watch him live. For many of his younger fans this would be the first time they get to see him live and we are excited about the fact that we are enabling that experience.” Enrique last performed in India in 2004 in Mumbai and Bangalore. He also collaborated with Bollywood playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan on the track ‘Heartbeat’ for the Indian edition of his album Euphoria (2010), featuring collaborations with Akon, Usher, Ludacris, Pitbull and Nicole Scherzinger.
