Datawind announces first detachable tablets; offers internet free

New Delhi: DataWind, the maker of Aakash tablet and UbiSlate tablets has announced its first hybrid tablets, named Droidsurfer Netbooks 7DC+ and 3G7+. The 2G Droidsurfer7DC+ is priced at Rs 3,999 while the 3G Droidsurfer3G7+ is priced at Rs 4,999.
The tablets have detachable keyboards and can be used as notebooks too.
Key features of Droidsurfer Netbooks 7DC+ and 3G7+:
The two tablets come with a 7 inch multi-touch capacitive screen
0.3 megapixel front camera and a 2 megapixel rear camera.
The tablets have Android 4.4.2 operating System
Run on a dual core Cortex A7 processor.
Offer upto 32GB of expandable memory with features like WiFi Hotspot, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth and GPS on some models.
DataWind said that the devices come bundled with the "infinite internet connection, at no additional cost on the Reliance Communications network”.
