New Delhi: Bollywood’s unprecedented king of kissing – Emraan Hashmi – has turned 34 today. This talented actor, who unlike almost every debutante, forayed into the world of acting with unconventional films, has an uncanny gift and that is making the songs of his movies immortal.
Barring a few movies, almost all the songs from his movies, including the ones that have got lost in the sands of time, are still fresh in the public memory. The song ‘Bheege Hoonth’ from ‘Murder’, which may sound a bit cheesy, is still widely remembered. ‘Agar Tum Mil Jao’ from ‘Zeher’, which also starred Shamita Shetty and Udita Goswami, is still considered to be one of the most romantic tracks and requested by one and all in love. The song ‘Jiya Dhadak Dhadak Jaye’ from Kunal Khemu’s ‘Kalyug’ can still make everyone’s heart skip a beat, courtesy; Emraan Hashmi. ‘Jhalak Dikhlaja’ from ‘Aksar’ created ripples on the music charts due to its danceable tunes at the time it was released. Probably one of the most romantic Hindi songs till date - ‘Tuhi Meri Shab Hai’ - is also from Emraan’s movie ‘Gangster’. Even though the movie ‘Awarapan’ is not remembered by most people, the song ‘Tera Mera Rishta’ was a hit due to its soulful music. ‘Beete Lamhein’ from ‘The Train’, hands down, is the most romantic track that compels the listener to revisit the golden past and cherish the beautiful memories. Soha Ali Khan starrer ‘Tum Mile’ did not do well at the box office but the song ‘Tu Hi Haqeeqat' is still on the lips on many romantic music fanatics. The number ‘Ishq Sufiana’ was one of the best (and cleanest) songs from the film ‘The Dirty Picture’. Here's wishing Emraan a very happy birthday!
