Los Angeles: ‘Bend It Like Beckham’ star Parminder Nagra has filed for divorce to end her three-year marriage.

The 36-year-old actress, who also became a regular on American medical drama `ER`, wed photographer James Stenson in 2009, TMZ online reported. Nagra cites "irreconcilable differences" for the split in her divorce papers. The two dated for 7 years before tying the knot and have a 2 year-old son. A spokesperson for the actress failed to comment on the story. In 2009, she took time out from acting to concentrate on being a mother bringing up her son Kai. Last month the actress stepped out to join the cast of `Alcatraz` at the premiere of the show. PTI
