New Delhi: Nestle India on Thursday sought the Supreme Court`s nod for destroying 550 tonnes of Maggi noodle stocks that have outlived their shelf life.
As the FSSAI counsel raised an earlier issue of destruction of evidence by Nestle, Salve told the court this was an old allegation that was raised before the Bombay High Court.
He told the bench that Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi had in the early hearing said that he was not interested in these issues and was only interested in the declarations of law.
As lawyer for the FSSAI reiterated that he had to take instructions and Rohatgi led the FSSAI before the court, the bench adjourned the hearing to September 30.
As the FSSAI told the bench that it has moved an application seeking court`s approval for the transportation of its stocks from its Lucknow office, which it was closing down, to Delhi, the court said that it too will be taken up on September 30.
