Central govt employess on hot seat: Finance Ministry expels 72 tax officers, retires 33 others!

New Delhi: Enforcing principle of good governance in the revenue department, the finance ministry dismissed 72 officials and pre-maturely retired 33 others on basis of non-performance and discipline in the past two years.

For the first time, strict action taken against defaulting & nonperforming Revenue officials.

The ministry of finance states that the strict action has been taken against erring officials to fix their accountability and ensure proper functioning of the system.

In the last two years 33 officiers from Indian Revenue Services have been prematurely retired for non-performance and other 72 have been dismissed in other departments over the last two years.
