New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday said that containing food inflation will be the topmost priority of the government.
Addressing the Joint sitting of Parliament today, President Mukherjee said that General election mandate is a vote of hope.
The President further stated that government will encourage FDI in sectors for creation of newer jobs.
Emphasising government's efforts to rationalise, simplify tax regime, the President said that putting economy back on track paramount for the government.
While stressing the need for substantial government investment for rural asset creation he said that the government will to reform public distribution system.
He said that modernisation and revamp of Railways is top agenda for Govt.
