London: James Bond`s geiger-counter wristwatch from hit 1965 film ` Thunderball` was found at a car boot sale.
The Top Time model by the luxury Swiss watch firm Breitling watch was bought for 25 pounds but is set to be sold by Christie`s at its South Kensington saleroom in a Pop Culture sale in London on June 26 for 40,000 - 60,000 pounds, the Independent reported.
The prop - one of the many gadgets used by the iconic British spy - was crucial to the film`s plot, as it helped Sean Connery, playing the role of 007, locate stolen atomic weapons during underwater scenes.
The watch- one of whose hands showed the strength of radioactivity - was the first watch which fans saw being adapted by Q`s team of researchers in the film series.
The basic watch- made in 1962- was the only one produced for the movie.
It is believed that the watch was passed on by someone who worked at Pinewood Studios, where most of the filming for the movie was done.
