London: Rumours are abuzz that Miss England Rachel Christie is dating JLS star Aston Merrygold.Buzz that the two are an item started making rounds after a picture of the pair partying at a London nightclub emerged.
Rachel, 20, the first ever black Miss England and the niece of former Olympic sprinter Linford, and 21-year-old Aston were spotted getting cosy on a recent night out.
“They looked very good together and certainly would make a lovely couple – unless they are already,” the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.
All four members of the former X Factor band – Marvin Humes, Jonathan “JB” Gill and Ortise – have recently parted ways with their girlfriends so they can commit themselves 100 percent to their careers.
Sources close to the lads say relationships are becoming impossible.
“Rachel and Aston really hit it off but she’s got competition,” a source close to the band said.
“It’s going to be difficult for it to develop into something more because the lads are getting hugely popular. Having a serious relationship, especially with another person in the public eye, will be practically impossible.
“Boy bands at the peak of their success are advised not to have high-profile relationships because it could jeopardise their chances of chart-topping success,” the source added.
