Shahid, Deepika to share screen space for the first time

Mumbai: Clearly, they are the industry’s two most good looking people and if Karan Johar would have his way, the audience will soon get to see Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone together on-screen for the first time in his next home production. Known for introducing new pairs on-screen, Karan is one hundred percent sure that Shahid and Priyanka would create the same kind of magic as Ranbir-Konkona (Wake Up Sid!), Imran-Kareena (Ekk Main Aur Ekk Tu) or Sonam – Imran (I Hate Luv Storys). According to reports, KJo’s assistant director Taran Vir Singh is set to direct this untitled film. Taran assisted Ayan Mukherjee during ‘Wake Up Sid!’. Taran is all set to direct his own film which is slated to commence by next year. While Shahid Kapoor is busy with promotions of his forthcoming ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’, Deepika Padukone is presently working on Ayan Mukherjee’s ‘Jawani Deewani’. It should also be known that Shahid was approached by Karan for a role in ‘Kaal’ in 2005, but the actor couldn’t be a part of it then. Let’s hope he laps it this time!
