My role has shaped up nicely: Arjun Rampal

Mumbai: Though Arjun Rampal was doubtful about signing Heroine, he is happy with the result. Actor Ajun Rampal, who is teaming up with Kareena Kapoor for the third time in Heroine, said the romance portrayed between them is not of the conventional kind. “The love story between the characters played by Kareena and me is very different. I know actors say this all the time but when you watch the film, you would know what I mean,” Rampal said.

The actor, who is working with Kareena once again after Ra. One and We are Family, says the actor has done a great job in the film. “Kareena and I have always got along well. We have been friends for the longest period. She has done a very good job and played the part of Mahi superbly. For Heroine, she has indeed gone all out.” With Kareena playing the main protagonist, Arjun was initially a little apprehensive about doing the film. “When I was approached, I wondered what a guy would do in a woman-oriented film. But my role has shaped up quite nicely. Madhur is capable of handling a subject like this. I didn’t have to think much about my character since the film is not about one particular individual,” said Arjun. The actor, who is playing a superstar in Heroine, has also used some of his own mannerisms to make his character look real. PTI
