Dubai: Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan along with Indian musicians Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan and actresses Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor are all set to perform at an Eid event in Dubai.
American rapper 50 Cent and Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram will enthral music buffs at the event as well.
The show that will also feature a host of Arab, Iranian, Indian and Filipino performers, will be held on the sidelines of a consumer fair called Shoppiesta, and continue for five days at Meydan from August 3 with every night featuring two concerts.
According to organizers, apart from the concert, there will be shopping stalls, adventure sports arcades and a host of other entertainment and lifestyle attractions as well.
"We`re aiming for the masses. The majority of the tickets are going to be very well priced, starting at Dh40 for the concert and Dh5 for entry to the fair," Gulf News quoted Krishna Ramanathan, the managing director of Citron, which owns Shoppiesta, as saying.
"This is not an elitist event. The event will feature all the things Dubai does best, from adventure sports, shopping and leisure activities during the five-day public holiday period all under one roof and all at very affordable prices," Ramanathan added.
