Mumbai: Rukhsana and Stanzin, who hail from Srinagar and Leh respectively, took to hot seat in `Kaun Banega Crorepati` recently and charmed host Amitabh Bachchan will their "incredible bravery".
Rukhsana, who saved her family by killing a Laskar-e-Taiba militant at her residence, wants to buy a home by the money she wins from the show.
Stanzin, whose entire family was wiped out in the flash flood in Leh, was the second contestant. She also got an opportunity to speak to her favourite actor John Abraham besides winning a handsome amount from the show on Sony TV to be aired on August 25.
The 68-year-old star took to twitter to praise the girls. "In a programme specially designed for `another chance`... we have had in the hot seat two young ladies from our own land that have shown just incredible bravery!...their resolve to fight against all odds, brought a lump in our throats as each narrated their horrific experiences," Bachchan wrote on twitter.
"Rukhsana and Stanzin. The former from J&K and the other from Leh in Ladakh. She is the young 20 year old daughter that took on the might of the terrorist in Kashmir...The latter is a young pretty face from Leh Ladakh, suffering from the sudden cloud burst... she lost her entire family and belongings in that deluge, dead and gone forever."
