Mumbai: Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza, who were pronounced man and wife a few days back, might soon make a new flat in Juhu their home.
According to sources, Mr. and Mrs. Deshmukh, the newest wedded couple in the Tinsel Town have together purchased a flat in suburban Mumbai. Riteish himself is to be the one to design the flat, and the place that they would call home soon would be a reflection of both of their tastes. In all probability, Riteish and Genelia will shift into their flat soon, and for good.
“Riteish may have got a flat in Juhu, but he is very close to his family. It is unsure if he will move into the Juhu flat for good,” informed a source to a daily. The Deshmukh mansion is in Worli, and Riteish stayed there with his family as a bachelor. The grapevine was abuzz only recently with the news of Riteish’s family initially not being too happy with the wedding, due to religious differences.
However, all across the length and breadth of the country, people witnessed an eclectic wedding just a few days back. Riteish-Genelia’s big day was spread over two days, with two kinds of weddings – while the Deshmukh family conducted a Maharashtrian wedding with much pomp and show, the D’Souzas played host to a grand Christian ceremony.
The source added, “Both families conducted a Maharashtrian and Christian wedding with much aplomb. This is the true case of unity in diversity, and everyone was most tolerant. It`s difficult to believe that anyone had a problem with this union. Maybe it`s the couple, who was ready to tie the knot only now!”
And Genelia, as a friend of hers said, is a very accommodative girl, and family acts as the fulcrum of her life. The Deshmukh household seems to be ecstatic with glee to have got the best bride in the world!
