Amitabh Bachchan discharged from hospital

Mumbai: At last he gets his freedom. Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted last night that he was eagerly waiting for his “freedom from hospital”. And his wish has finally been granted! After two abdominal surgeries and 12 long days at the Seven Hills Hospital, superstar Amitabh Bachchan was discharged from the hospital Thursday night. "The actor is doing much better now following which he has been discharged," a hospital source told a news agency.He was discharged at 9.30 pm and was accompanied home by his wife Jaya Bachchan. On Wednesday night, the veteran star shared his excitement over his freedom from tubes and needles. On February 11, Big B had undergone surgery for bilateral inguinal hernia, a condition caused by protrusion of tissues through the abdominal wall. The actor tweeted last night that his condition was improving and wrote, “The body is now free from all ‘kites’ and wires and soon shall be free from this hospital as well(sic).” He had complained of acute abdominal pain and there were chances of him undergoing a second operation. But later it was decided by the doctors that another surgery was not required as the 69-year-old actor was getting better.
