Sudeep to play Salman Khan in Kannada version of `Bigg Boss`

Mumbai: With Salman Khan’s presence as the host, popularity of reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ grew manifold. None could have imagined that the show would successfully complete 6 seasons. And why wouldn’t it have- it had THE Salman Khan playing the host in the last three editions. Going by the craze that has been generated by the show, the makers planned to come up with a Kannada version and were looking for someone who could fit into Salman’s shoes. And hence they zeroed in on Kannada actor Sudeep to host the show. "Bigg Boss is all about human emotions and it isn`t particularly a formatted show. It is a reality show in the true sense and is both quick and spontaneous. I am very happy to be associated with the biggest television show of Karnataka market," Sudeep, who was last seen in S S Rajamouli`s realistic animation `Makkhi`, said. "Bigg Boss Kannada is bound to create entertaining content driven by the reality of what each contestant will experience in the Bigg Boss house... real emotions, real drama and real tension," said Deepak Dhar, CEO, Endemol India.
