Sugar, pulses prices remain unchanged on scattered buying

New Delhi: Sugar prices closed steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today following scattered buying support amid adequate stocks position.

Marketmen said scattered buying support along with sufficient stocks position, largely kept sugar prices unchanged at last levels.

Steady conditions also prevailed at the wholesale pulses market in the national capital today with prices moving in a narrow range in scattered buying or selling and settled around previous levels.

Traders said activity in pulses generally remained extremely restricted as buyers preferred to defer their purchase on hopes of fall in prices in coming days after the government intensified raids against hoarding to curb soaring prices and improve supplies in the market.
