Kolkata: In a novel way to provide city music buffs a refreshingly new soundscape every week, celebrated percussionist Bickram Ghosh has joined hands with creative personalities from other walks for a year-long live-in concert series.
"The live in concert will infuse the live lounge music ambience in open air concerts and refreshingly different for what is experienced in the typical musical events," the Rhythmscape man told reporters here. "The Siddha live in series will create a different soundscape with people from varying creative antecedents, musicians, poets, writers, film directors taking different takes and interpretations about art and trying to communicate with the public through their respective forms," `Antoheen` director Aniruddha Roychoudhury said. "It is a musical movement which involves me, Tonyda (Aniruddha), Bickram which aims at breaking barriers and spread the world of music to the masses," leading rockstar and Fossils front man Rupam Islam said. "The Siddha Live in Series will be held in various parks, as well as in schools throughout the year and will replicate the Hyde park atmosphere of London in Kolkata, the city with a vibrant cultural tradition," Ghosh said.
