Sunny Leone, Kamaal R Khan go to legal war over tweets

New Delhi: Bollywood’s first porn star Sunny Leone landed herself in an unneeded controversy after allegedly posting a provocative tweet which elicited a frenzied reaction on the popular social networking site. Kamaal Khan, who famously appeared in the 5th season of reality show ‘Bigg Boss’, sent the controversy spiraling out of control after he tweeted: “Ye lo… Sunny Leone says — Rape is not a Crime, It’s just a Surprise Sex,” quoting what he claims to be a tweet she’d posted. The two have been at war since Sunny Leone first slapped a legal notice against the provocative Kamaal Khan who, in turn, tweeted his decision to hit back with a legal case against the ‘Jism 2’ actress: “Now I have all the rights to file a complain against sunny leone and I shall do it today only.” Sunny Leone has denied all claims that she’d tweeted the insensitive message and, as of today, there seems to be no evidence in her twitter stream to suggest otherwise. “This whole issue is quite sad. I never made this statement at all,” said Leone, “No woman in this entire world would. He has written it and tagged me on it. He has not ‘retweeted’ my comment. I believe rapists need psychological help. They need to be institutionalised.” She also added: “This is a silly comment made by some idiot. I didn’t want to encourage him by responding to such things, but it’s a sensitive issue, especially after what happened in Delhi. Questions should be turned to him. If he thinks the comment was ok, his ethics should be questioned. The world that I come from may or may not be accepted here, but I am someone’s wife and daughter. I don’t care what people think about me. Call me every name in the book, but don’t associate me with a criminal act.” The feud between the two looks set to steam on in court.
