Dating websites help match people with same STDs

New York: New dating websites like Positive Singles and STD Soulmates are making it easier for people with sexually-transmitted disease to find love.

The websites match members to people, who are suffering from the same sexually-transmitted disease — from herpes to HIV. Steve Kasper, a consultant for the dating website STDMatch.com, told the New York Daily News that their website provides a particular service to people who otherwise assume their dating life is over. He asserted that being upfront about their STD eliminates some of the awkwardness of the usual dating, saying that most people don’t know how to tell someone they’re dating they have an STD the Internet makes it easier.
