Mumbai: Television actor Mohammad Nazim, seen as Ahem Modi in ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’, says ever since Giaa Manek has left the show, he has to work harder to maintain the TRPs.
Giaa, who became popular as Gopi, was replaced by actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee, due to some issues with the channel.
"After Giaa`s replacement, the burden of work has increased. Devoleena is new, so I also need to put in more effort. TRPs went really down but they are okay now. The production people have to think of ways to make the show better and interesting to maintain viewership," Nazim told IANS.
While Giaa started a new journey with popular dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhla Jaa", Nizam is trying to adjust with his new onscreen wife.
"Devoleena is a nice girl and doing a good job. She has worked before as well but an actor takes some time to adjust and that is the director`s job," he said.
She was last seen as Bani in Imagine`s ‘Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto’.
Meanwhile, Nizam is busy with some other projects like Punjabi comedy movie ‘Ful Fukre’, which revolves around three men who want different things from life.
"The last few days have been pure work for me. I shot for `Saath Nibhana...` in the day and at night for the film. I had stopped driving because I didn`t get any sleep. But I am so grateful I have so much work," he said.
The actor is also in talks for a Bollywood film.
"I may sign a Bollywood movie too. I hope it happens fast but before that I can`t disclose anything," he said.
