Los Angeles: Actor Colin Farrell has been honoured for his Hollywood career at a ceremony celebrating Irish talent in the movie industry.
The `Phone Booth` star, who was the star guest at the Oscar Wilde: Honoring The Irish In Film event in California, flew in from New York to pick up his prize on February 21, reported E! online.
"It`s lovely! I mean it`s better than getting a slap in the face and told you`re crap. I don`t really understand it, maybe my mother and father should be getting honored instead, it is their fault I am Irish," he said.
Movie mogul Michael R Burns and make-up artist Michele Burke have also been honoured with Wilde awards, which are named after the famed Irish writer.
