`Kevi Rite Jaish’ to prove the brilliance of Gujarati cinema

Gollywood will soon stand neck to neck with Bollywood films, with its modern-day film ‘Kevi Rite Jaish’ to prove the brilliance of Gujarati cinema by CineMan Productions. The film which has been shot entirely in Apnu Amdavad is a satire on the obsession of the Patel community migrating to USA. The film is a funny roller coaster ride with its own share of romance, drama, anxiety, desperation, excitement and madness.

Mumbai: Gollywood will soon stand neck to neck with Bollywood films, with its modern-day film ‘Kevi Rite Jaish’ to prove the brilliance of Gujarati cinema by CineMan Productions. The film which has been shot entirely in Apnu Amdavad is a satire on the obsession of the Patel community migrating to USA. The film is a funny roller coaster ride with its own share of romance, drama, anxiety, desperation, excitement and madness.
The film depicts the journey of a young man and his fixation of fulfilling his dreams of settling in USA. The film although made in Gujarati has a universal appeal and highlights a very poignant issue faced by a lot of families who aspire to settle abroad in search of a better life. The film features established names from bollywood like Rakesh Bedi, Anang Desai, Kenneth Desai, Tom Alter, and Rita Bahaduri. The film will also be a debut platform for Divyang Thakkar and Veronica Gautam.
Abhishek Jain, Director, Kevi Rite Jaish said, “It has been an overwhelming experience for me and the entire cast and crew involved in making this film. It is a sincere effort to enthrall the audience with the magic of Bollywood in regional cinema. We are grateful for all the support and are proud of giving back to the city which has made us what we are in our own small way.” On his experience of working with a young filmmaker, Anang Desai, Actor, Kevi Rite Jaish said, “It has been a wonderful experience working with such a young and energetic team who are making a sincere effort towards popularizing Gujarati cinema. The way the director, who is a first time film maker, has handled the film, has surprised me with his skill and knowledge about film making and cinema. While shooting this film I did not for a moment feel that we were working towards a Gujarati film the way filmmaker has treated it.”
