Usher urges not to take away his kids` custody

Singer Usher, who shares joint custody of his children with ex-wife Tameka Raymond, has urged a court not to take away his fatherly rights.

Los Angeles: Singer Usher, who shares joint custody of his children with ex-wife Tameka Raymond, has urged a court not to take away his fatherly rights.
The couple got divorced in June 2009 and Tameka asked a Georgia court last month for full custody of their two kids claiming Usher has continually dropped the ball as a parent, TMZ online reported. Tameka also claimed the 33-year-old `Love In This Club` hitmaker callously closed her 5th Avenue credit card and now she can`t take advantage of the "special benefits" the card offers. She has also tried numerous times to get the judge to force Usher to submit to a drug test. But Usher said all the allegations were false and filed his own response in the ongoing custody battle asking a judge to reject Tameka`s request for full custody. A trial date has been set for February 27. PTI
