Lionel Richie owes USD1 million tax to US government

Los Angeles: Soul star Lionel Richie is facing a hefty tax bill over allegations he owes more than USD 1 million to the US government. The `Hello` hitmaker owes USD 1.13 million in unpaid income tax stemming from 2010, according to official documents, reported a website.

The debt shouldn`t put too much of a dent in Richie`s bank balance as the singer is said to be worth an estimated USD 200 million. PTI
