Matthew McConaughey to play HIV patient in next

London: Actor Matthew McConaughey has to undergo a drastic weight loss for his next film role in ‘The Dallas Buyers Club’.

McConaughey, 42, who takes on the role of a man who contracts the HIV virus, said he needs to shed around 30 pounds for the film, reported a website. "I`m losing some weight. I`ve got a role coming up in the middle of September. I`ve lost about 15 pounds, I`ve gotta lose about 15 more. "I am drinking a lot of tea. It takes a while for your body to understand that it has to feed off of itself and that you`re not going to give it something else from the outside," he said. PTI
