New Delhi: West Indian southpaw Chris Gayle has praised his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Virat Kohli and said that he's not surprised by his outstanding performance. He further said that much more can be expected from the Indian skipper.

Gayle, known for his merciless power hitting all over the world, is considered as a bowler's nightmare, but didn't shy away from praising his IPL team captain.

"Virat is a fantastic batsman we all know that. What he has done is not surprising at all. There will be many more to come for sure," Gayle told PTI today.

Virat has been receiving praises from all over the world for not only his leadership skills but also for his absolute run fest in the series. In the IND-ENG series so far, Virat has played 4 matches in which he has scored 640 runs at an average of 128.00 with two-hundreds and best score of 235.

The final Test will be played in Chennai from 16th to 20th December.

Gayle is in India these days to lend his support to the USL-Diago's road safety initiative where he is encouraging his fans to celebrate responsibly this festive season.

Pleading his commitment to the cause, he signed for never to drink and drive. While supporting the initiative he said, “India holds a special place in my heart and I've always been embraced and accepted by my fans here.”

“Through this initiative, I hope to encourage people to Never Drink and Drive and celebrate responsibly during the upcoming festive season." he further added.
