The incident happened when Chattisgarh batsman Manoj Singh was trying to play a pull shot off left-arm spinner Mehdi Hasan's delivery. It hit Tanmay, who was fielding at short-leg. Despite suffering the blow, Tanmay turned around to complete the catch, but fell on the floor immediately after the ball landed on the ground.
A stretcher was immediately called on the ground as the youngster felt dizziness.
He was then taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
