Russell Crowe slams parody website's fake quote on Twitter

Wellington:Russell Crowe is not happy about being misquoted on a satire website and thus took to Twitter to express his anguish.

The 'Gladiator' star, who did not know that website ClickHole publishes humorous fake stories about celebrities, posted on Twitter, "@ClickHole What is this rubbish? Where does that quote come from?" to express his anger, Stuff.co.nz reported.

The 51-year-old later realised his mistake and deleted the tweet, but not before it was captured in a screenshot and the people on Twitter reacted.

The parody website's fake quotes that got Crowe so worked up centered on driving differences between the US and his home country.
