Speeding Honda City crushes model to death in Mumbai

Mumbai: In a tragic incident, a 20-year-old struggling model and actor died after a car hit her at JVPD traffic signal in Mumbai on Friday morning. The victim, Neeral Bhardwaj, was on her way to Vile Parle to meet a relative when the incident took place. While it is still not clear if Neeral was walking or was in an autorickshaw when the accident took place, the driver of the car- a Honda City, has been arrested. The driver, Purbesh Ramchandra Pathkar, a bank employee, initially tried to flee but was caught by the locals and handed over to the police. According to the police, Neeral, a native of Bhopal, came to Mumbai three years ago and had even appeared in few ads and serials. Neeral was rushed to Cooper Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
