Hirani won't meddle with ‘3 Idiots’ title, clarifies Aamir

Mumbai: Sometime back, there were reports that director Rajkumar Hirani's planning to change the title of '3 Idiots' to 'Idiots'. But now, none other than Aamir Khan has refuted the buzz assuring that the title of the film will remain as it is. Earlier, it was reported that Hirani was keen on deleting ‘3’ from ‘3 Idiots’, restricting the film’s title to ‘Idiots’. This is also reportedly what he wanted to call the film. A source reveals that Hirani did try hard to get the title from another filmmaker Deepak Shivdasani. But when Deepak quoted a whopping Rs 25 lakh to let go of it, Hirani dropped the idea. Recently, Deepak had apparently thought about it again and wanted Hirani to reconsider his decision. However, Aamir has confirmed that Hirani isn't considering the idea now as the title '3 Idiots' has already been registered. So now that we have memorised the Aamir starrer as '3 Idiots', the news of the title not being meddled with has surely come as a respite!
