‘Mr Joe B Carvalho’ trailer: Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Shakti Kapoor engage in a laugh riot

New Delhi: Director Samir Tewari’s comic caper ‘Mr Joe B Carvalho’ is being touted as a comedy of errors which erupts from the confusion of mistaken identity between a namesake detective and the villain played by Javed Jaffrey. Shakti Kapoor’s presence is meant to add a comic edge to the film. The film’s leading lady is Soha Ali Khan who is playing a ‘Dabanggi’ cop ala Salman Khan. The trailer is full of comic moments that will leave you asking for more. Arshad Warsi’s screen name, Joe Bhi Carvalho, itself has a comic undertone to it. The name Joe B Carvalho could be read as ‘Jo Bhi Karvalo’ in Hindi language which translates to ‘make me do anything’. Rising on this hidden meaning, there promo features a funny sequence in which Arshad’s character heroically introduces himself to the baddies. The bad man asks “Kaun hai be tu? (Who are you?).” To which Arshad replies, “Joe B Carvalho (Jo Bhi Karvalo – Make me do anything).” The bad man dismissively answers back, “Humein kuch nahi karvana (We don’t want to get anything done).” Embarrassed at the reply, Arshad clarifies his name by saying, “Detective Joe B Carvalho.” Take a look at the trailer and tell us if you would root for the film.
