Aishwarya Rai Bachchan addressed Rekha as ‘Maa’ at award function?

Aishwarya received the Power Packed Performer Award from Rekha at an awards event.

Mumbai: A lot is being speculated about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s acceptance speech after receiving the Power Packed Performer Award for her performance in ‘Jazbaa’, from Rekha at the Sansui Stardust Awards function.

Rekha, who has always made her presence felt at awards events, had presented the above mentioned award to Aishwarya for making an impressive comeback with the Sanjay Gupta thriller, after a hiatus of five years.

During her acceptance speech, Ash is believed to have said, “Thank You Maa”.

Aishwarya’s Paa-in-law- Amitabh Bachchan - who was seated in the first row among the audiences, wore a ‘blank’ expression as Ash shared the stage with Rekha!

For the uninitiated, Rekha and Bachchan were believed to have been in love many years ago!

Interestingly, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan essayed the role of 'Umrao Jaan', in the remake of a namesake Hindi classic originally featuring Rekha in the titular role.
