Anthony Hopkins swaps booze for prayer book

London: Anthony Hopkins has revealed that he has turned to prayers to keep himself off booze.

The 75-year-old actor told the Daily Express that God got him out of his alcoholic "horror" and the Serenity Prayer now helps him to stay sober. The Oscar-winner said that in the early mid-70s when he was in Hollywood, he use to see visions of Christ walking down the beach by the Pacific coast. He said that he was drinking tequila like water, hallucinating and it was all coming to the end. Hopkins added that one day it was all over and he believes that it was God who got him out of the hell. ANI
