Ashmit Patel heads to Pakistan

Mumbai: After his controversial stint in reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ Ashmit Patel is on way to resurrect his slumping career graph with plans to work across the border. Ashmit revealed that he wants to work in Pakistan. Ashmit couldn’t win the Bigg Boss contest but he made headlines for his sleazy acts with Pakistani actress Veena Malik. His Pakistani connection dates back to the `Nazar` times where he was paired opposite Meera from Karachi. And now, he is all set to look for work across the border. While discussing his plans of visiting Pakistan with a daily, Ashmit said, “ I will be going there as I see loads of scope in the Pakistani entertainment market. I am yet to decide where exactly I will be going and then will file a visa application. Karachi is where Meera stays and Lahore is Veena’s home town. Let me figure out what happens.” Ashmit is keen to do TV serials in Pakistan. However, he will certainly consider if he is offered a good movie by the producers there. He said, “I will not decline an offer if it is good. I will be meeting some producers during my visit. I am interested in doing TV there as well.” A struggler as per the Bollywood standards, Ashmit has a soft corner for his Pakistani friends. He confessed having performed Namaz with Veena Malik during their stay in the `Bigg Boss` house. “Yes. I did it. Many wondered how I could do that since I am a Hindu. But I told everyone that I would do what I feel like doing. And it isn’t any of their business to comment”, said the actor. Well Ashmit if you can see loads of work opportunity in Pakistan, then why did Meera and Veena enter Bollywood? You really make us wonder if work is calling you to Pakistan or someone else!
