Mumbai: Deepika Padukone bagged the coveted black lady in the Best actor (Female) category for her performance in ‘Piku’ at the Filmfare Awards held last month. The event which was telecast on Sunday showed the audience an unseen part of pretty and talented actress.

As Deepika received the trophy from the legendary Rekha, the dimpled actress was visible overwhelmed. She had indeed won an award for her performance in a film that revolved around the equation between a father and a daughter. And hence, Deepika had reasons to be teary-eyed.

The beautiful Bollywood star, who is former Badminton Champion Prakash Padukone’s daughter, read out a letter penned by her father a few years back.
