Halle Berry`s custody battle sparked due to Kim Kardashian

London: Halle Berry`s custody battle with ex-beau Gabriel Aubrey was sparked by her jealousy over his alleged relationship with Kim Kardashian, it has emerged.

The actress allegedly demanded that Canadian model Aubrey stop seeing the woman, even threatening to withhold access to their daughter Nahla until he complied. While the woman is not named, Aubrey enjoyed a brief fling with reality TV star Kardashian late 2010. According to Radaronline, the threat to withhold access sparked him to begin legal proceedings to get an official custody agreement, reports the Daily Mail. "The real trouble started last year when Gabriel started dating a high profile reality TV star,` the source told the website. Berry totally lost it with Gabriel and gave him an ultimatum-to choose between dating this girl or having a relationship with his daughter," said a source. "The problem was that they had no legal custody agreement in place so he was pretty much at her mercy as to when he got to see their daughter. So, he did what she wanted-he broke it off with the girl-but then he started legal proceedings to set up his custody rights so Berry couldn`t pull that crap on him again," added the source. ANI
