Happy Birthday 'Rockstar' Ranbir Kapoor!

New Delhi: One of the finest and most successful actors of Bollywood Ranbir Kapoor celebrates his 32nd birthday today. Just about 15 films old, Ranbir has certainly created a niche for himself in the industry.

Born to yesteryears superstar Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, Ranbir had a connection with Bollywood even before he entered the industry. Being born in the first family of Bollywood, the 'Kapoor Khandaan', acting literally runs in this young lad's blood.

Ranbir stepped into the industry with ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's tragic romance film 'Saawariya' in 2007 opposite another star kid Sonam Kapoor. Despite the commercial failure of 'Saawariya', the Kapoor scion was casted by the Yashraj Raj Films to play the lead in romantic comedy film 'Bachna Ae Haseeno'. The film was Ranbir's first commercial hit. And since then there is no looking back for the actor who has now become one of the highest-paid heroes in the industry.

He has also received several awards and nominations during his seven-year-long career. His long list of honours includes five Filmfare awards.

Ranbir has worked in several superhit films including- 'Wake Up Sid', 'Rockstar', 'Rajneeti', 'Barfi' and 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'.

Besides acting, Kapoor has supported several causes and has alsways been vocal about issues relating to society, especially women. He is the co-founder of the production company Picture Shuru Productions, and is a co-owner of the Indian Super League football team Mumbai City FC.

In addition to his professional life, the actor's personal life is also a subject of frequent reporting in the media. His relationships with several B-town beauties have always caught the media eye.
