Pratyusha Banerjee suicide: Rahul Raj Singh's former girlfriend records statement

New Delhi: In one of the most disturbing events, which shook the Indian television industry lately, actress Pratyusha Banerjee was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her residence in Goregaon, Mumbai.

This alleged suicide has led a can of worms out in open, uncovering the personal troubles Pratyusha was facing. Her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh has been booked under 306 (abetment to suicide), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of the IPC.

According to DNA, actress Saloni Sharma, who is reportedly Rahul's former girlfriend has recorded her statement in the Bangur Nagar Police Station. In her statement, Saloni has reportedly blamed Pratyusha for distancing her from Rahul.

Saloni's name had been coming in statements given by Pratyusha's friends, accusing her to be other woman in Rahul's life, who even has had physical fights with the late actress.

However, Saloni on Saturday recorded her statement, where she told police that Pratyusha was her really good friend at one point in time but blamed her for distancing Rahul from her. According to Saloni, it was because of Pratyusha that her relationship with Rahul had got bitter," said a police officer, privy to the investigation.

Pratyusha became a household name after her successful stint as Anandi in 'Balika Vadhu'.
