New Delhi: At a time when female actors in Bollywood are mincing no words in expressing their displeasure over gender disparity when it comes to fat pay cheques of male stars, we have 'dabangg' Salman Khan saying something completely different.

According to Hindustan Times report, Salman was quoted as saying that such a discussion does not hold any ground. He feels that whoever is pulling the crowd to watch a film (be it an male actor or a female one) gets the last laugh, as the producer and distributor too make money from it. The gender does not matter, he was reportedly quoted as saying.

He insisted that there are many male actors in Bollywood who get less than some of the female actors. Reason? The individual's capacity to get people to watch films at theatres is all that makes one earn more, irrespective of the gender. He was even quoted as dismissing the debate as 'bullsh**t'. Whoever is selling, and as much he or she is selling, will get that much,” he said reportedly.
