`Veer` producer slaps defamation case worth Rs 250 crores against Salman Khan?

With all legal woes adding to Salman Khan's misery, the least he needs right now would be another court case adding to his burden.

New Delhi: With all legal woes adding to Salman Khan's misery, the least he needs right now would be another court case adding to his burden.

But as luck would have had it, the `Veer` actor has been slapped a defamation case by the film's producer Vijay Galani who has accused him of harassment for non-payment.

The producer of Salman starrer `Veer` has sued Salman for a staggering amount of Rs 250 crores, according to news websites.

Salman and Vijay had mutually agreed during the making of`Veer` that the actor would be paid Rs 15 crore if the film did good business at the Box Office. While signing the film, Salman was paid Rs 10 crore, but as `Veer` was a dud at the BO the producer was relieved of paying any further amount to Salman.

Three months post `Veer` release, the `Dabanng` actor sought a copy of their previous agreement from Galani. On receiving the agreement copy, Salman approached CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes Association), who ruled in Galani's favour.

Following this the 49 year-old actor then approached the Federation of Western India Cine Association, which issued a non-cooperation letter against Galani.

Further reports suggest that after fighting the case for three years in court, Vijay got the ruling in his favour and slapped a fresh case against the superstar.
