When Salman Khan played advisor to Dharmendra

Mumbai: We all know for a fact that our very own Dharmendra is a very short tempered man and hence the nick-name ‘Dharam Garam’. And the veteran literally lived up to his name when he was quizzed about the conspicuous absence of his sons Sunny and Bobby at daughter Esha’s wedding ceremony in June this year. Dharmendra was mighty peeved with reporters for throwing too personal questions at him, instead of congratulating him for his daughter’s wedding. And that was when Salman Khan came into the picture. The hunk of an actor is known to be very close to Dharmendra and hence intervened. He said, “Don`t entertain them, ignore them.” Salman comforted the veteran actor and asked him not to pay heed to such questions. It is believed that ever since Dharmendra married Hema Malini, tensions began brewing between him and his first wife Prakash Kaur. His sons Sunny and Bobby from Prakash are seldom seen with or heard talking about their half-sister Esha Deol. It was cousin Abhay Deol who performed the duties of a brother at Esha’s wedding.
