Shilpa would love to sport a baldpate!

If Shilpa had the choice, she would have tonsured her head for ‘Desire’.

Mumbai, March 20: If Bollywood’s dusky babe Shilpa had the choice, she would have surely gone ahead and tonsured her head for her upcoming Indo-Chinese project ‘Desire’. Given the fact that the script required her to sport a baldpate, Shilpa was very much in favour of doing away with her beautiful locks yet her commitments held her back. Shilpa’s makeup artist for ‘Desire’ said, “She wasn’t able to because of a campaign she’s doing for a cosmetics company.” In order to give Shilpa a bald look, Vidhyadhar gave her a bald prosthetic that took two hours to get the perfect look. Vidhyadhar said, “After holding her hair back with gel, I placed a plastic cap on it. Then, I used an adhesive and covered it with stockings to give the cap a neat and natural look. After that, I applied four layers of liquid latex. The result was quite impressive and pleased everyone.” Talking about Shilpa, Vidhyadhar was all praises for the lissome lass, who was cooperative throughout the makeup session and was unlike other actors who do not wish to experiment with their hair. Vidhyadhar added, “She was very patient and gave me a free hand to create the right look. She’d never say anything for the two hours it took me to get the look right.” Talking about her desire to go for a bald look, Shilpa was quick to reply, “I wish I could have actually shaved my head. When Aamir Khan tonsures his head, it becomes a fashion statement. But, we girls have to go by the market definitions of glamour.”
