First look of Sofia Vergara on 'The Simpsons' revealed

Los Angeles: "Modern Family" actress Sofia Vergara is voicing the character of a teacher in an upcoming episode of animated TV series "The Simpsons".

The first look of her character looks different from what the actress in real life, reported Ace Showbiz.

Vergara's character is an attractive teacher named Mrs Berrera who becomes Bart's love interest. Bart starts drinking milk substitute that contains bad hormones and triggers early puberty.

Growing moustache and all, he begins having feeling for one particular teacher. "She's more forgiving than Mrs. Krabappel was of Bart. She pays special attention to him," executive producer Al Jean described Mrs Berrera.

To make things complicated, Vergara's character is not only Bart's object of affection but also Principal Skinner's.

"We thought it'd be interesting if both Bart and Skinner have a crush on the same woman," Jean said.

"She feels Skinner is a wounded soul that she wants to take care of. She is a vet like Skinner, and that's his attraction."

Since Mrs Krabappel's death in a 2013 episode, the position of teacher in Bart's school is not "regular". Jean noted that Vergara's character might or might not recur but the actress "was really funny and we were glad to have her.
